New Year's Greetings from the Carvinite Family Photo Gallery!

The site is currently undergoing a major update. Thanks to the holiday season and an extremely hectic schedule, I have been unable to post any updates until now. As a result, my inbox has seen an influx of new submissions, all of which should take a few days to complete. In the meantime, check out the new Guestbook and Bulletin Board System.

Welcome to the all-new Carvinite Family Photo Gallery!

In addition to the new design and organization, many changes have implemented here at the Carvinite Family Photo Gallery. Several extraneous features have been removed, while other new features have been added. For example, an all-new Guestbook (please feel free to post any comments in the guestbook) and Bulletin Board System have been launched. Plus, more than thirty new photographs have been added.

As always, feedback regarding the Carvinite Photo Gallery is always welcome; please complete the Site Survey with your thoughts. Additional questions, comments, or suggestions may be forwarded to the webmaster by utilizing the Contact section.

* Several updates have been made and new photographs posted to the Gallery today. Please continue to enjoy the site and its many features (such as the recently improved Chat Room), and enjoy the recent additions. Have a safe and happy Independence Day!

* In response to the growing popularity of the Carvinite Chat Room, a new AD-FREE and expanded version of the old chat room is now available. After much time and consideration, it was finally decided to upgrade the existing chat room. Currently, the chat room receives on average about 1,000 hits per month, and users are usually present in the chat room every evening beginning at around 10:00 PM EST. Check it out!

* For your information, the address for the chat room has changed, and can now be found at http://chat.electricshockmusic.com/. Please be certain to update your previous bookmarks.

* In addition to the updates noted above, the Photo Gallery has set up an account with PayPal to accept monetary donations. Such donations are done strictly on a voluntary basis, and the amount to be donated is left to the discretion of the giver. Any donations toward the Carvinite Photo Gallery will be applied toward the monthly and annual costs of maintaining the site and providing new features (such as the new Chat Room noted above). In the future, the possibility exists of creating a "Members-only" Section where paying members have access to exclusive site features and bonus material. If and when any such Section is created, all information will be posted here first.

* Finally, the newly updated version of Carvinite Bulletin Board System allows access to more features and options, such as different skin settings. Check it out at forums.electricshockmusic.com, and feel free to register if you have not already done so.

* The Carvinite Bulletin Board System has been operating smoothly for the past few days. Thank you for your patience, and we again apologize for any inconveniences that may have been caused.

* Due to some minor maintenance issues, the Carvinite Bulletin Board System has temporarily been taken offline. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause; check back for further information.

* To date, the Photo Gallery has surpassed 75,000 hits since its inception on 7 May 2002. Thanks for your continued support and interest!

* The site has been updated today to include new submissions from several different people. Please continue to submit your photographs and reviews, and they will be posted to the Gallery as soon as possible.

* New chat session times have been scheduled for today and tomorrow... click here for updated information. In addition, the BBS has been updated. It can be accessed at forums.electricshockmusic.com.

* Today, the Photo Gallery surpassed 60,000 hits. Thanks again for making the site such a success!

* Today marks the First Anniversary of the Carvinite Photo Gallery! As of this posting, the site has had 54,615 total hits since the site was initially launched a year ago. Thanks to all the visitors who have helped to make it a success. Here's to another great year!

* In lieu of a few recent suggestions, the Photo Gallery is considering hosting MP3 files of Carvinites' gear. If you would be interested in such a feature at the Photo Gallery, please see the New Features Poll page, or send an email to webmaster@electricshockmusic.com. Please do NOT send any files at this time; this is only to see how much of a demand is present for the proposed feature.

* As you have probably noticed, the Photo Gallery is currently undergoing a much-needed facelift, just in time for its upcoming One Year Anniversary on May 7. We hope you enjoy the updated appearance.

* Due to the recent reconstruction efforts here at the Carvinite Photo Gallery, certain sections of the site may be temporarily inaccessible and/or may not function properly. * The Photo Gallery has now officially had over 50,000 hits since its launch on 7 May 2002! Thanks to everyone for helping to make it a success. Some exciting new features are around the corner; as soon as they advance beyond the initial planning stages, they will be posted here.

* The new Bulletin Board System is up and running. Check it out by clicking on the link below. Also update your bookmarks.

* A new User Comments section has been added to the Photo Gallery. This section includes comments from the Photo Gallery's various visitors. If you would like to include some remarks of your own, please feel free to fill out the Site Survey & Evaluation Form.

* The Official Electric Shock & Carvinite Photo Gallery BBS is temporarily offline. Rather than relying upon outside sources (such as Ikonboard.com and ezboard.com), we are creating an all-new BBS within the Photo Gallery & ES sites. For those who were registered on the older boards, you will need to re-register for the new board when it is posted. Please bear with us in this time of transition, and thank you in advance for your patience. More updates will be provided as they become available.

* If you have a few minutes to spare, please complete the new Site Survey & Evaluation Form for the Carvinite Photo Gallery. Your input is valuable for future improvements and updates. Thank you!

* In other news, a new Carvinite Photo Gallery Mailing List has been instituted. Emails will be sent to members of the Mailing List approximately once per month. To join, simply click here and fill out the form.

* A new, quicker, more consistent and user-friendly process has been established for submitting reviews to the Carvinite Photo Gallery. Click here to submit a review. Of course, reviews may still be submitted via email to webmaster@electricshockmusic.com.

* To inform all Carvinites and other visitors, Christopher Lee will take approximately one month off from his duties as webmaster to produce and record CDs for a few local bands (during this short timespan, he may even record some of his own material). He will continue to check his email and make minor updates to the Photo Gallery and his other websites during this time. Thanks for your patience and continued support; please continue to submit photographs of your Carvin equipment for inclusion on the Carvinite Photo Gallery.

* A new Tentative Chat Session Schedule page has been added to the Photo Gallery, to better organize and promote upcoming scheduled chat sessions in the new Carvinite Photo Gallery Chat Room. Please feel free to join in any of the scheduled chats, and also feel free to schedule your own chats with other Carvinites.

* A new User Collections section has been created, showcasing the personal instrument collections of Carvinites who have submitted photographs to the Photo Gallery. Each page includes photographs in addition to technical specifications for each instrument. Click here to check it out.

* Tomorrow, Thurs. 07 November 2002, marks the six month anniversary of the Carvinite Photo Gallery! Thanks to everyone who has made it possible... to all of the contributors and regular visitors.

* Thanks to a few recent suggestions and comments, I am pleased to announce the all-new Carvinite Photo Gallery Chat Room... please check it out and let me know what you think. Stay tuned for further updates and information.

* A brand-new, revamped message board has been created for the Carvinite Photo Gallery, available here. Those who were registered members of the previous BBS will need to re-register for the new board, as it is hosted by a different company. The new board is loaded with features, and gone are the days of the annoying popup advertisements... check it out!

* A new Review has been added to the archives. Joe (a.k.a. Nubbs from Carvin's BBS) commented about Carvin's customer support - a must-read story for everyone. Click here to read "You all should know this!"

* In case you have not yet noticed, several sections of the Photo Gallery have been redesigned and updated. Browse through the site and feel free to contact the webmaster with any comments or suggestions.

* As all of you are well aware, today marks the one-year anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center buildings in New York City. It is difficult to believe that an entire year has passed since that fateful late-summer morning. Please dedicate at least one full minute of silence today in remembrance of those who fell victim to the horrid acts of September 11, 2001. Let us never forget...

* Some exciting new changes and additions are underway for the Carvinite Photo Gallery. Several of the pages have been updated to include new photographs, and a new Latest Additions section has been added to showcase the most recent submissions. In addition, the News Archive has been created, where you can find all of the news entries since the site's initial launch. Further announcements regarding site improvements will be announced, so keep checking back for updates.

* In an attempt to make the Carvinite Photo Gallery more inclusive, better rounded and more interesting, I have created a new User Reviews section.

If you have written any reviews of any of your Carvin equipment, feel free to email them to me for inclusion on the site. I ask only one thing: if you send your review as an attachment, please send it in Rich Text Format (as a .txt file). Otherwise, you can send the review in the actual body of your email. Either way it will be faster and easier for me to post them online.

I will also be happy to include one to two photographs of your gear on the same page as your reviews. Feel free to include any technical specifications with your review (i.e. options on your instrument, etc.).

So if any of you have any reviews of your Carvin gear, feel free to send them my way (webmaster@electricshockmusic.com). In the meantime, keep sending those photos.
